NY-20: A new wrinkle

The Libertarian candidate has now endorsed the Democrat. Not because of ideology, obviously, but because of Republican dirty tricks to keep him off the ballot.

This race, as the linked posting notes, has become something of a referendum on the two major parties. It's a right-leaning district, but the Democrat still leads. And the actual vote is tomorrow.

These certainly have been odd or let's say unique pieces/posting, cause I dont believe I heard of this anywhere's else. I dont think?

Funny thing...I had several folk's over the year's ask me if I was a Libertarian.Few year's ago I had to look it up...because I didnt even know what a Libertarian stood for until a few year's ago.Now when someone ask's me what party I am with/for? I just tell them the "Nothin Party".

What is also interesting to me about New York is this recent taxation overhaul that I heard about there. I love New York, but it certainly isnt what it used to be!

Later Guy...........

The sad thing is that libertarianism started out as something quite promising, based on individual freedom and not particularly linked to either the left or the right. But later it, or at least the party that bears its name, mutated into a mindless robot ideology that puts property rights above all other considerations -- and like every ideology that believes some one value trumps all other considerations always and everywhere, it's pretty much useless for dealing with reality.

Yeah...thanx for your opinion on that Mr.Infidel. Because of some of the thing's I say, maybe that is why I am asked if I'm Libertarian I guess. But the part you said about the "mindless robot ideology"... is something that I also wondered about. I listened to what they have to say...and I know that I could never join in a party like that. Even though some of what I heard I may agree with. I dont really identify with one party anywayz...I like a little of them all I reckon.
