Europe's coming civil wars

The countries of western Europe seem to be locked in a cycle of thuggishness, aggression, and terror by their Muslim minorities and cowardly appeasement by their governments. Public anger is growing, but with no major political party willing to seriously address the issue, this simmering fury has no way to express itself through the political process. How will it end?

If I had to make a prediction, it would closely resemble the vision set forth in this pseudonymous essay from 2007, "The Danish Civil War". The story it sets forth is a harrowing one, but knowing what I know, I see no plausible way of avoiding such a scenario -- not just in Denmark but in every western European country where large-scale Muslim immigration has taken root.

I have said time again...that we can learn alot from our EU allies, and if we are smart...we will watch closely and learn, but looking at all...not just what we want to...you must look at the good, the bad,and the ugly to get anything from it.We are in a position as we speak in America to not let the cultural clash that they are having to deal with happen here. As much as people hate to hear this...something must be done about our immigration here, if we stay in a state of denial and wishful thinking we will loose in the longrun.Ask yourself what your more concerned with...popularity or prosperity? Also ask yourself if you are really serious about accomplishing anything at all that resemble's "peace"?

Thank You Guy........ and thanx for the post......

Coupla issues...

1. Are folk in Denmark that well armed? If so is there any reason to suspect the natives would be better armed than the Muslims?

2. Denmark is a Monarchy. When governments collapse in such a way that becomes important but no mention was made of this.

Other than that all too plausible. Especially in the little details.

For the record, I don't believe that immigration in the US (even illegal immigration, which I'm adamantly against) has the potential to create problems analogous to those posed by the Muslim presence in Europe. Both the nature of the immigrant groups and the nature of the receiving society are substantially different. A large Muslim minority in the US might eventually create similar problems, but we don't have one, and won't.

A better, though still very imperfect, analogy is to think of the Muslims in Europe as a smaller but much more radical and violent version of the Christian Right in the United States, with the mainstream European society being more secular and liberal than ours (thus sharpening the contrast still further). Of course, the Muslims in Europe are almost all of recent foreign origin -- which makes their claims to dictate the future course of European social evolution all the more unacceptable to the mainstream.

The only prospect I can see for a peaceful resolution to Europe's conundrum is for Muslims there to abandon Islam en masse, becoming non-religious or Christian. This is happening to an extent -- but unfortunately it seems unlikely to happen fast enough and on a large enough scale to avoid the kind of scenario described in the article.

Nick M -- good point (#1). The author notes that most Europeans have neither access to guns nor training in using them (though Denmark is something of an exception) -- but soldiers and police do, and as things fell apart, he believes, many would defect to support the native Europeans against the Muslims. Even civlians would be likely to start obtaining guns illegally as conditions degenerated in the run-up to the "civil war".

As for point #2, he's talking about the government falling in a general-collapse-of-state-authority sense, not a parliamentary sense. It's not obvious to me why a monarchy would make much difference in such a scenario.

PS: In fact, if things got that chaotic, and if the bulk of the military were suffused with anti-Muslim feeling, a flat-out military coup in each western European country might be a more plausible scenario than collapse of the state into anarchy. In that case, the Muslims would be facing not only armed violence, but well-organized armed violence.

Not being European, it's hard for me to judge how likely that possibility is.

Because in monarchies (here certainly, probs Denmark too) the military swear an oath of allegiance to the sovereign. And that matters.

It is entirely possible that in a simialr situation with a crumbling and discredited government. The military would go over en-bloc with the soverign as figurehead.

Also note: Scandinavian moarchies have enormous popular support.

The military and the police would inevitably side with the natives (and also non-muslim immigrants who ar just as likely to be pissed off) because Muslim participation in both is very low.

They were minor issues with a very plausible scenario. Probably the most plausible I have read.

Further musing:
I think a great many movers and shakers within the Islamic communities would like to see this sort of thing happen. It would electrify the Ummah and some would most certainly see it in eschatological terms.

Thanx for your view's on America vs.Europe, and why America may not have the same problem.

I have never had any problem with immigrant's legal or illegal actually... one of the most concerning thing's to me now is the financial state of the USA and how much immigration is weighing down on everything from job's,wages, medical treatment and what ever else is a cost...I do realize that the government spend's more on junk than them....but... I also cant help to wonder how this will all be beneficial to us financially? Some of the cultural clashes that stood out to me... was just for instance...refusing to take off scarf to get a liscense, cabbies refusing to pick up customer's that been drinking, marching in American cities to kill all jews, getting bent out of shape over guy's and gal's kissing in public ... honor killing's that even went on right here in North Dallas. I could go on...but I will be nice considering all the good muslim immigrant's I personally know. I just have concern's, I am not paranoid.I wonder how much we can afford actually? Maybe we can afford a bunch more...I have no idea...I just dont see the benefit of keeping the faucet on.

Muslims have a sense of superiority over non-muslims and they cannot be reasoned with. While I agree that many muslims in Europe are abandoning their religion and are, in fact, often the ones sounding the alarm bells the loudest, this secularization of muslims in Europe is likely not enough to change the final result. All muslims understand is force; and in the end, force may be all Europeans have left to rely upon.
