No shark left unjumped

The Obama-birth-certificate nuts have finally achieved "Nutvana", the perfect transcendent state of being utterly beyond parody. Having repeatedly failed to discredit the real birth certificate from Hawaii, they are now triumphantly waving an obviously-fake Kenyan one (thanks for the link, Mendip), bearing an official name which Kenya hadn't adopted at that time, from a city that wasn't part of Kenya yet, and apparently signed by a detergent. When the source document used to create the forgery was quickly found (in Australia) and confirmed, the more determined loons decided that the Australian document (actually real) must be a fake concocted to discredit the real (actually fake) Kenyan Obama document.

And the right wing wonders why nobody trusts them to run the United States? Remember, substantial numbers of Republicans take this Obama non-citizenship stuff seriously.

It's become part of the conservative alternate reality. Long after this comical episode is forgotten by most of us, there will still be these people off in their own world, grumbling that Obama's "real birth certificate" was "revealed" but was "suppressed and ignored" by the same vast "establishment conspiracy" that suppressed and ignored the "evidence" against global warming and evolution.

I love the birthers and the lunatic right wing fringe--they are just so nutritious for those of us who enjoy eating the grossly ignorant for lunch. lol

This is certainly an entertaining as well as an educational piece Mr.Infidel. For one I needed a good fix of humor and educational...to see how far folk's will go to prove that they have something, like creating a phoney document, and not doing proper homework when doing so.. I mean...they should know that a ton of people are going to analyze this, after all...it's over a President...not some Joe Blow. :)

And I was listening to a conservative Dallas based talk show the other day during a long drive, and they had caller's within a hundred mile radius of DFW calling in...that swore up and down that they think the President was born in Kenya too! Hell...some of these same folk's were swearing up and down also less than a year ago...he was an "Aye-Rab"(arab), I mean...what is it?...is he from the UAE or Kenya? I reckon I'm not much different...after all...before I seriously read up on the guy...I thought he was from Kansas! :) Heh,heh,heh...for all we know he could be from Hell, :)

I am happy though after the last 8 year's to have a President who at least is trying to do some work domestically...instead of focusing all his time involved with the finances of the Arab's and Chinese, and everything and one but America and American's, and at least see's that he is getting a paycheck to do a JOB....unlike Bush/Cheney ... thinking of where to set up camp to make the next big investment, with our surplus. :)

Later Guy.......

Zirgar -- That's really the only value they have, to serve as targets for parody -- although it's increasingly getting like shooting already-dead fish in a rather small barrel.

Игорь -- Вы забавный человек. Но -- Сатана был американский политик? (ваш сайт)

Ranch Chimp -- Unfortunately "birtherism" is overwhelmingly concentrated in the South -- which in this context does include Texas.

President Obama has signed 42 pieces of legislation so far in office. He is doing a FANTASTIC job trying to solve the problems in this country. In addition, he's spending political capital by the boatload trying to solve a 50-year old problem - health care reform.

The right-wing crazies will never appreciate any of it. They will never understand it or support it - only benefit from it, use it, and fight to keep it in the end.

They are absurd, ignorant fools who deserve little of what the good people in this world do for them. I see them as political locusts. They consume without giving back. They enjoy the harvest without planting any seeds. Education is critical, because without it the ignorance will spread, leading to more of them.

Michael -- Well, some improved education might help them avoid falling for this endless stream of cranks, conspiracy theories, and anti-science quackery.....
