Nice set of links - and welcome back! The article on Ol' Virginny is a little out of date. Unfortunately, Perriello backed out of campaigning for the governorship. In my opinion, he would have been an awesome candidate. McAuliffe has (supposedly) boatloads of money, and no popular support, nor is he viewed as particularly progressive or electable - fueled merely by egomania, with no real experience or commitment to the State, (for once, I agree with the tagline of "carpetbagger"). Thus, the liberals who would vote, might not come out. The only thing going for him is that the Republicans have picked a "true believer" who may well scare everyone to the Left of Attila the Hun into coming out and voting Democratic, regardless of the candidate. The election has quickly devolved into merely voting against the return of the Dark Ages. Perriello would have made it much more positive. In my opinion, he is a very impressive

Thanks everyone!

Mendip: So it's a carpetbagger vs. a teabagger? For me at least it'd be an easy choice. The teabaggers out there are probably just disappointed that Attila the Hun himself wasn't available as a candidate.

Blurber: Thanks, I'll check that out. The military is replacing mental health professionals with chaplains? Maybe next they'll replace their surgeons and other MDs with faith healers? It would certainly save money.

Interesting list. Re: the paucity of posts. No need to apologize; it happens to the best of us. Real life has a nasty habit of intruding into blogging time. ;)
